Shelley Anthony, Founder and CEO of JESUS & Butch, Inc., dba This Is It! BBQ & Seafood created The Dream Lives On foundation as an avenue to assist minority high school seniors in furthering their education and to build their entrepreneurial skills. Because of his interest and desire in the continued growth of young people, Mr. Anthony felt that the establishment of the foundation would be an excellent way to give back to the communities who have supported each This Is It! BBQ & Seafood over the years.
In 2008, The Dream Lives On foundation endeavors to support young adults with mentoring, building business skills, entrepreneurial advice and educational assistance. Out of his desire to see young adults succeed, Mr. Anthony aims to connect and bring together the local residential communities, high schools and business communities by allowing them to support the foundation. It is truly a unique and God given development that will bring money back into the areas that these young adults live and grow in and who need the support financially.
Each year, The Dream Lives On will work to support young adults through the distribution of scholarships and awards to qualifying students. If you or someone you know would like to submit their basic information to apply for a scholarship with The Dream Lives On foundation, please contact us for further information on how to apply.
